Acceptable Use Policy
PurifyAI is a professional media tool. This page sets out plainly what it is for, and the specific uses we prohibit.
The short version
- Use it on media you own, created, or are licensed to edit.
- Do not use it to pass AI-generated media off as authentic where that deceives people.
- Journalism, elections, legal evidence, academic work and identity documents are off limits.
- We enforce this on accounts, not on your files — we never see your media.
1. Intended use
PurifyAI exists so creators and studios can deliver clean files: removing generator branding from client work, stripping metadata that leaks prompts or internal job identifiers, and producing assets that meet a platform's technical requirements. These are ordinary, legitimate production needs.
2. You must have the right to edit the media
Only process media you own, created yourself, or hold a licence to modify. Using the tool on someone else's work to strip their attribution or authorship metadata is not permitted and may infringe their rights.
3. Prohibited deceptive use
You may not remove provenance data in order to misrepresent AI-generated or AI-edited media as authentic in any context where that misleads people about what is real. This specifically includes:
- News reporting, documentary work, or any journalistic context.
- Political advertising, campaign material, or election-related communication.
- Evidence submitted in legal, insurance, regulatory or law-enforcement proceedings.
- Academic submissions, research outputs, or peer-reviewed publication.
- Identity documents, KYC or age-verification processes, and biometric enrolment.
- Dating profiles, marketplace listings, or reviews where authenticity is implied.
4. Prohibited content
Regardless of intent, you may not use PurifyAI to process:
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form and without exception.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, including synthetic imagery of real people.
- Content that impersonates a real person in order to defraud, harass or defame them.
- Material that is unlawful to possess or distribute in your jurisdiction.
5. Prohibited technical use
You may not use the service to evade platform trust and safety systems, circumvent content moderation, bypass rate limits, resell access to the engine, or reverse engineer the processing pipeline for a competing product.
6. What we can and cannot see
Because all processing happens in your browser, we do not receive, store or inspect your media, and we cannot scan it for violations. Enforcement is therefore based on account behaviour, reports we receive, and information you provide — not on file content. That is a deliberate privacy trade-off, and this policy is how we set expectations around it.
7. Reporting and enforcement
Report suspected abuse to abuse@purifyai.app. Where we find a violation we may warn, suspend or terminate the account, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Serious violations result in immediate termination without refund.
8. Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the output. Local law on watermark removal, provenance data and synthetic media varies and is developing quickly. If you are unsure whether your use is lawful where you are, take your own legal advice before proceeding.
